Your castle stays standing
A world hosted from a clan member's PC goes dark when they log off. A dedicated server stays up for the whole clan, rivals included.
> V Rising server // ready_
Raise a castle, drain your rivals and keep the whole clan's world online while you sleep in your coffin.
Always online
A dedicated server keeps your world running, so the clan can raid, build and bicker at any hour.

Pick the server name, the world (save) name, the player limit and an optional password when you order.
Keep a few copies of your world to fall back on, and take one before you change presets or patch day.
Always-on DDoS protection means a bad actor with a botnet cannot knock a raid night offline.

Server settings
Set the basics at checkout, then tune the rest from your settings files.
Moving from a client or another host? Upload your save folder yourself through the panel file manager, into the server's Saves folder. Start the server with a matching world name and leave the game settings preset empty so it does not override your copied settings.
Ryzen 9950X cores and NVMe storage back every plan, so autosaves and a map full of players and castles have room to work.
Raids on a castle are fair game in V Rising. Floods of junk traffic are not.
Briefing
V Rising's dedicated server is its own Steam app, separate from the game: AppID 1829350 for the server and 1604030 for the client. Stunlock Studios keeps separate dedicated server instructions for each version of the game, with 1.1.x as the current one on PC and PS5, and says the server is Windows-only for now. EZ Game Host plans cover 20 players on Standard and 40 on Pro and Premium, with a name and world you set at checkout.
Settings live in ServerHostSettings.json and ServerGameSettings.json, loaded as overrides from a Settings folder. Name, password, player limit, listing on Steam or EOS, a game settings preset such as StandardPvP and a difficulty preset all sit in the host file. Stunlock gives 128 as the technically supported player maximum. Admins are added by SteamID in adminlist.txt, then run adminauth in the in-game console.
Saves go in a Saves folder next to the settings. The server rotates autosaves with AutoSaveCount and AutoSaveSmartKeep, and Stunlock strongly recommends your own backups, especially before and after patching. A client save can be moved to a server by copying its session folder into Saves/v4 and starting with -saveName. Stunlock publishes no RAM or CPU figure for the server.
Setup
You can run the server yourself or let EZ Game Host run it for you. Here is what each path involves.
| Port | Protocol | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| 27015 | UDP | Game port, the Port setting (Stunlock's example value) |
| 27016 | UDP | Query port for the Steam server list, the QueryPort setting (example value) |
On EZ Game Host the ports are opened for you, so there is no router setup.
