Self-hosting on your own machine

Install Java 17 for Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1.
Download the BMC4 server pack matching your release from that file's Additional Files on CurseForge. The CurseForge app doesn't download server packs.
Extract it into its own folder, run the included start script once, and set eula=true in eula.txt.
Give the server more memory than the pack's heap, since Java needs some on top of it.
Forward TCP 25565 on your router to the server PC and share your public IP.
